Again, I have been drawn to the hills of Tuscany and I want you to join me. While the poppies sway in the evening breeze, let's enjoy a plate of pasta and a glass of red wine on the veranda.
I am amazed that some of these villas and farms have belonged to the same family for hundreds of years! They always seemed to pick a hilltop for the home site. What an incredible view.
I have depicted a beautiful Tuscan scene saturated with warmth and serenity. Although it is meant to be in Tuscany, this view might be found in the wine country of Oregon, Washington or California.
I have painted a classic American outdoor scene. The Canada Geese are migrating to their winter grounds and have stopped at an inviting wheat field for rest and nourishment. The sound of a flock overhead is truly a gift to enjoy for the moment or two that it lasts.
This little painting is a new subject for me and was a lot of fun to paint. I remember the "good old days" of popcorn balls and homemade cookies when trick or treating.
